Rob Allen, Kevin Snyder and Nick Selchow started playing music together almost 40 years ago. They worked together and as they discovered, they all shared the same passion for music and songwriting. Thus, Kinetic was started and over all those years, they developed a unique blend of country, rock and bluegrass. Each is a songwriter and singer in their own right. They have written a variety of songs within these genres to express and inspire. When they perform, this is blended with those artists who influenced them, developing into their own interpretations of many well known popular songs. Their influences include the Beatles, Paul Simon, Rolling Stones, Beck, John Prine, Cracker, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Little Feat, Taj Mahal, and others.
They have played together at a variety of Livermore’s top wineries and venues. These include Wood Family Vineyards, Darcie Kent Vineyards, Blacksmith Square, Bankhead Plaza, Almost Famous Wine Lounge and Page Mill Winery. They have performed at Two Day Town for many years as part of the annual Livermore three-day music festival. Recently they added two local veteran musicians – Stu Shader on drums and Ed Feifert on lead guitar. Their new album “Hideaway” is due to release very soon and will showcase more of their eclectic mix of styles and talents.
